I treated it myself but it still got infected. On May 9, I went to the emergency room at Sutter Auburn Faith hospital in Auburn, CA for antibiotics. I had just paid a mechanic for a big repair bill and did not have the $86 cash to go the clinic.Fifteen days later I got a bill from the hospital for $1,217.00. I was charged $1,100 for the ER room as a level 3. Level 3 is for people with broken arms, etc. Level 1 is for minor things like mine. I was charged $88 for a tetnus shot. $147.00 each for "two" drops of topical sauve; same as Neosporin you can get for $5. The two antibiotic pills they gave me in ER were $17.35 each.I am disputing the bill right now and have written them asking them to send me their paperwork for their "Charity Case" where they say they officer financial help. Even though there have been many class actions suits filed and won against this chain of hospital, Sutter is still doing this to the uninsured. Slavery existed in all of the United States at one time. It was only not in the northern states after they were declared free. It did exist for like 100 years before that. Very few, probably less than 1% of African Amercans during that time were free. Even though slavery was less prominent in the North, it did exist. Slaves were indentured servants: ie... house keepers and nannies and anything else that they were ordered to do, they did not get paid and were forced to do it. Oh and I love how you pulled the "you are better off card". Sounds like your making excuses just like people did to try to justify the reason that slavery should exist.
